WHO WE ARE

Climb That Mountain is a donor advised charitable fund founded by Marty and Jim Norman, whose lives and hearts were forever changed in 2012 when our beloved grandson, Strother age 5, was in a car accident paralyzed from the chest down.

WHAT WE DO

We have created a Climb That Mountain DAF as a tax-deductible charity under The Renaissance Foundation 501c3, with the goal of paying forward God’s blessings to children who have huge mountains to climb, physically, emotionally, psychologically, and developmentally.

WHY WE DO THIS

Because we have been blessed by so many friends, family, and community members, we desire to pay forward these same blessings to others, through vision casting, seed money, and new initiatives that meet identified needs in the challenged community.  Through donations to existing 501c3 programs that support our mission, we educate others about giving opportunities in the community, in hopes that others will also choose to walk alongside those who are climbing huge mountains.

HOW WE DO THIS

We do this by partnering networking, and initiating programs through existing 5001c3 non-profits in four areas: Educational Scholarships, Recreational Mobility, Developmental Disabilities, and International Programs. We also research, collaborate with, and donate to existing 501c3 programs that conform to our mission statement and meet our goals, while at the same time passing on giving opportunity information to those who share our dreams.

HOW WE DREAM

We dream of a world where challenged children who have huge mountains to climb are included in normal school, sports, and recreational activities that they otherwise would not be able to participate in. We have seen firsthand how this participation broadens not only the challenged child’s world, but the worlds of those with whom they interact, enabling inclusion and understanding where none existed before. We dream of a world where, one day,  all people would say, “not a disability, but a possibility.”

WE ARE LAUNCHING INITIATIVES IN 4 AREAS:
